Konecranes buys the business in the Netherlands – The purchase price is not disclosed

A provider of lifting equipment solutions Konecranes strengthens its presence in Europe’s largest port by purchasing Rotterdam-based Peinemann Port Services and Container Handling BV.

The deal requires the approval of the Dutch competition authorities and is expected to be completed in the last quarter of this year. The value of the transaction is not disclosed.

The turnover of the business to be purchased was approximately EUR 40 million in 2023. About 100 employees are expected to join Konecranes after the deal is completed

“The acquisition of Peinemann’s Port Services and Container Handling business expands our presence and grows our maintenance business in Europe’s largest port, where we already have strong customer relationships and a significant equipment base in both automatic and manual equipment”, Director of Port Maintenance at Konecranes Paolo Dazi states in the announcement.
