The work on the replacement of the tram switch at the intersection of Vukovar and Savska Streets was completed on Saturday, so from 4 p.m. traffic will be unrestricted, announced the City of Zagreb.
The works were completed after less than two weeks, and there is still the final repair with asphalt in the joints along the tracks, which will be carried out next weekend, but this, as stated, will not affect the flow of traffic. According to the City of Zagreb, it was necessary to carry out the work due to the safety of tram traffic.
The City of Zagreb recalls that it initiated large investments in public transport, which are necessary in order to use it more, with the aim of improving the quality of public transport and relieving road traffic. Along with the purchase of new trams and buses, switches are being renovated, stations and other tram infrastructure are being repaired, adds the City of Zagreb.
