Three dead and eight injured in a shooting after a school football game in Mississippi

Three people were killed and eight others were injured this Saturday in a shooting in Mississippi, United States, while celebrating a school’s victory in an American football game.

The events occurred on an outdoor trail in Holmes County, where at least two people shot several hundred individuals that were celebrating the victory of the Holmes County Consolidated school in a football game, held hours before.

Two of the deceased were 19 years old and the third was 25, according to authorities.

County Sheriff Willie March reported that The events occurred after a fight between a group of men who were on the path, where in total there were between 200 and 300 people.

The injured were taken by helicopter to several hospitals in the area, as reported by authorities.
