One Direction star Zayn Malik postpones tour: ‘Heartbreaking’

The former One Direction star, who is pursuing a solo career, was due to start his US tour next Wednesday.

Vocalist Zayn Malik transfer Stairway to the Sky -tour of his former bandmate Liam Paynen because of death. Payne died on Wednesday after falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina.

Malik’s tour was scheduled to begin on Wednesday, October 23 in San Francisco, USA. Malik tells about postponing his gigs in his Instagram story.

He does not mention Payne by name, but says that the reason for the postponement of the gigs is this week’s “heartbreaking loss”.

The gigs will be moved to January. In the update, Malik thanks his fans for their understanding.

Malik is scheduled to perform on November 20 in London. He has not said whether the gigs will take place in Great Britain.

Malik and Payne were part of the super popular boy band One Direction, which went on hiatus in 2016. Since then, the members have focused on their solo careers. After Payne’s death, the band has not commented on a possible continuation.

Band members Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan have been shocked by the death of their former bandmate.

The band released shortly after the death news joint statementin which they said they were heartbroken. The members have also published their own, sad updates on social media.

Malik previously wrote on Instagram that he lost a brother in Payne.

“I can’t explain what I would give to hug you one last time and say goodbye properly,” she wrote.
