Fürth separates from coach and sports director

SpVgg Greuther Fürth is apparently parting ways with coach Alexander Zorniger and sports director Rachid Azzouzi. This is what “Bild” reports. The second division football team initially did not comment when asked. After a good start to the season with eight points from four games, Fürth had to overcome a negative series of five games without a win. After the painful 4-0 derby defeat against 1. FC Nürnberg, those responsible have now reacted accordingly.

Zorniger was still combative after the 4-0 defeat and was counting on his team to react defiantly against FC Schalke. The game association is in twelfth place in the table.

A separation would come as a surprise – especially that of Azzouzi. The 53-year-old was a long-time player and manager for the Middle Franconians.
