Jorginho says Vini Paulista gives Coritiba mobility

The Coritiba coach does not believe that there is an ideal team for Coritiba, but that each situation calls for a different type of lineup. In midfield, the coach has most often opted for Vini Paulista as a midfielder for Sebastián Gómez, but he also uses Zé Gabriel.

According to Jorginho, Vini gives more mobility to the midfield. In other games, the coach has already stated that the player is a “little engine” for Coxa.

“It’s a team for every moment. As soon as Zé Gabriel arrived we won using three midfielders. But in this game [CRB]we needed to win. And Vini is a player who drives very well. Sebastián Gómez is more of that first midfielder, but he also comes out to play. You always need to have this conversation between them. But Vini gave us a little more mobility“, he said, in a press conference after the game.

“Zé Gabriel is an extremely important player. It’s difficult to leave him on the bench, but for this moment it was necessary, because we needed the result”, he added.

Coritiba returns to the field next Tuesday (5), against Mirassol, currently third placed, away from home, in the 35th round of Series B. With chances remote, Coxa no longer depends solely on themselves to reach promotion.
