The Appointments Commission approved the candidacy of Gilad Erdan, who recently completed his term as Israel’s ambassador to the UN, to the post of chairman of the board of directors of the state-owned defense concern Aviation Industry.
Erdan’s candidacy was proposed by Defense Minister Yoav Galant and received the support of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister David Amsalem, who is responsible for the management of state-owned companies.
Erdan will take office in December 2024, replacing Amir Peretz.
