Con Dao reduces service prices by up to 30% to attract customers at the end of the year

Head of the Management Board of Con Dao National Tourist Area said that in order to extend the stay, increase room capacity and revenue during the low tourist season, the district has announced preferential packages for room rates, train tickets and event and festival schedules from now until early 2025.

“Building low-season tourism packages, diversifying products to stimulate local tourism demand”, Head of Management Board said.

Many hotels on the island offer discounts from 10 to 30% on room types. In addition, some accommodation establishments also offer car booking service vouchers and accompanying tour guides. Regarding travel, the high-speed train company on the Tran De – Con Dao route also reduced tickets by 45,000 VND, expected by the end of 2024.

Accommodation establishments in Con Dao also apply QR code scanning to reduce prices by 5-10% for guests who are relatives and friends of close customers, to attract potential customers.

From October to March every year is the monsoon season and also the low season for tourism in Con Dao. At this time, it rains a lot and the sea is big, so there are not many visitors. The most beautiful time in Con Dao is from March to September when the sea is calm, the sky is clear, sea turtles breed and the weather is favorable to participate in activities.

Luu Quoc Minh, 27 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh City, said he stayed two more days when he saw that many hotels had good prices at this time. He and his family went to Con Dao from November 15, choosing to take the high-speed boat at Tran De, Soc Trang, instead of flying to save costs.

Since April, Bamboo Airways stopped its only direct flight from Hanoi, causing the number of passengers from the North to decrease sharply even though actual demand is still high. Besides relaxation and exploration, the group of spiritual tourists – accounts for the majority of demand for tours from Hanoi.

Con Dao, located in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province, is a famous destination associated with “hell on earth” prisons. In recent years, the island has become known for its pristine beaches and fine white sand, attracting domestic and foreign tourists. This place is also considered the “resort paradise” of Vietnam.

In the first 10 months of the year, the number of visitors to Con Dao reached nearly 570,000, equivalent to last year, of which about 21,700 were international visitors with a revenue of more than 2,100 billion VND.

Representatives of the Management Board of Con Dao National Tourist Area expect that preferential solutions and discounts will contribute to increasing local tourism revenue at the end of the year.
