A work by Picasso exhibited in Milan at the PwC Tower

The PwC Tower – Piazza tre Torri, City Life, Milan opens its doors to the public again, hosting a work by Pablo Picasso on the top floor, ‘La loge (Le balcon)’an element of the scenography created in 1921 by the painter for the theatrical show ‘Cuadro Flamenco’ proposed by the impresario Sergej Djagilev, founder of the Ballets Russes. Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in art by combining a view from a height of 130 meters over the city of Milan, inside the architectural work of art designed by architect Daniel Libeskind. A free initiative upon reservation at the link pwc.com/it/picasso. By accessing the dedicated platform, it will be possible to select the day and time slot on the two weekends of 9-10 November and 16-17 November from 9.30 to 19.30.

The event is part of the ‘Sguardi dalla Torre’ initiative by PwC Italia dedicated to art and culture thanks to the start of a collaboration path with the Pinacoteca di Brera and is part of the activities of the ‘PwC for culture’ project, through which PwC wants to contribute to the socio-cultural growth of the country, creating opportunities for sharing the Italian artistic heritage both within the organization and externally, towards the territorial communities in which it operates.

“The collaboration between PwC Italia and an institution like the Pinacoteca di Brera honors us and confirms the recognition given to our commitment in the cultural field – comments Giovanni Andrea Toselli, president and CEO of PwC Italia -. A collaboration that we hope will continue over time, according to a support model that is now part of PwC Italia’s DNA. Investing in culture means, for us, actively participating in the socio-cultural growth of the country and being consistent with our vision based on the centrality of people and the importance of restoring value to the communities in which we operate, deploying resources and skills which have always characterized our work. This year the initiative will be enriched by an immersive installation in order to offer those who have already had the opportunity to participate in the first edition a completely different experience”.

“I am happy with this collaboration with PwC and with the President Andrea Toselli – comments Angelo Crespi, general director of the Pinacoteca di Brera and the Braidense Library – with great foresight, he was one of the first signatories of the Pact for Brera, a sort of advisory board in which ten stakeholders are gathered who will support me in designing the strategic lines of the Grande Brera. The Pact for Brera specifically concerns all the activities of the Pinacoteca that go under the acronym Esg, and I am convinced that the themes of sustainability and inclusion can cross the social and cultural propensity of large companies, such as PwC. Furthermore, the exhibition in the PwC Tower goes in the direction of greater valorisation of our heritage, especially as in the case of Picasso’s work which was not visible to the public for many years. In this sense, we are repairing a vulnerability, effectively opening our warehouses to visitors.”
