Saudi Foreign Minister: Creation of a Palestinian state does not require Israeli consent

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said that the kingdom and the United States continue to work on those agreements that are not related to the normalization of relations with Israel.

“Trade and AI agreements are not tied to third parties, and work there is moving quickly. When it comes to defense cooperation, negotiations are more difficult. We would like to conclude them under the Biden administration, but this is not under our control,” – said the minister.

Prince Faisal stressed: Saudi Arabia will recognize Israel only if a Palestinian state is created.

“The creation of this state does not require the consent of Israel; it is provided for by the principles of international law. The UN resolution on the basis of which Israel arose also provided for the creation of the state of Palestine,” he said.
