Apple’s profit decreased, turnover increased

The result of the sale of iPhone phones increased from the previous year.

Device manufacturer Apple’s result in July–September fell to 14.7 billion dollars (13.5 billion euros) from about 23 billion dollars in the corresponding period of the previous year. In the same period, the company’s turnover increased slightly to 94.9 billion dollars (87.2 billion euros) from 89.5 billion dollars the previous year.

“Today, Apple reports record quarterly revenue, which grew by 6 percent year-on-year. This quarter, we announced our best products so far, from the brand new iPhone 16 phones to the Apple Watch Series 10 smartwatches and AirPods 4 headphones,” said in the bulletin managing director Tim Cook.

The company’s figures exceeded the analysts’ expectations. Investors had been waiting for Apple’s quarterly report to see demand for the new iPhone 16 phone model.

The company’s iPhone product category is still clearly its most valuable, and the result of sales of iPhone phones in the quarter increased slightly from the previous year to 46.2 billion dollars, or about 42.5 billion euros.
