The fans of Athletico sold out tickets for the duel against Victory. The game, which will be this Saturday (2), at 6:30 pm, in Curitiba, for the 32nd round of the Brasileirão, is the second of the pact’s campaign against relegation.
Just like in the match against Cruzeiro, the first of the campaign, the club offered tickets for R$30 (half) and R$60 for the full price. This Thursday (31), Furacão reported that fans filled the Red and Gold sectors. There are few entrances left for the VIP sector and Choperia Arena Brahma, the stadium’s new space.
Expectations for Ligga Arena record
Athletico is trying to overcome the largest audience in the history of the Ligga Arena, recorded in the 2018 South American final. In the 1-1 with Junior Barranquilla, there were 39,618 paying fans (40,263 total). The stadium is open for 42,370 spectators.
Visitor space can be decisive in breaking records. Vitória’s fans are unlikely to fill their space, but the Bahian team’s organization is allied with Furacão’s. In other words, there is the possibility for Athletico fans to buy tickets from the visitor.
If it does not reach the biggest general audience in the place, the tendency is that the Furacão fans can, at least, surpass the best audience of 2024, which was against Flamengo in the 1-1, in the ninth round of the Brasileirão. In that game there were 37,598 paying for a total of 38,641 present.
