A family visiting Kruger Park suddenly witnessed the sight of the eagle Martial diving down to hunt. Before their eyes was a herd of little warty pigs playing. A Martial eagle, hidden in plain sight, suddenly appeared, its giant wings tearing through the air. In the blink of an eye, the eagle aimed at one of the baby humps, holding it firmly with its sharp talons.

After attacking its prey, the eagle perches on a nearby tree branch, occasionally checking for any approaching threats. When it felt safe, it landed to claim its loot. With its prey secured, the eagle crossed the road to a remote bush and began eating.

Witnessing a Martial Eagle hunting is extremely rare, especially in the Kruger National Park. The Martial Eagle, one of the most majestic eagles, is often reclusive, so seeing it successfully hunt at close range is a privilege few people have.
