Iran executes Jewish youth for killing Muslim

In Iran, the death sentence was carried out against 20-year-old Erwin (Nathanel) Karami from the city of Kermanshah. A Jewish youth was found guilty of murdering Muslim Amir Shukri.

The murder occurred in the gym in November 2022. Shukri, who owed Karami money, attacked him with a knife and wounded him. The young man was able to take the knife from the attacker, after which he stabbed him, which turned out to be fatal.

Karami was accused of premeditated murder of a Muslim and sentenced to death. According to Iranian law, the death penalty can be commuted to monetary compensation if the victim’s family agrees. Karami’s relatives offered the family of the deceased a large sum of money, but their offer was not accepted.
