Dylan Holloway was horribly injured

Holloway took the puck pretty hard on his neck in the closing moments of the first set, but continued to play normally after that.

He pucked for another 16 seconds until the end of his shift and only when he got to the substitution fence did he start tilting his head as a sign that something was wrong.

It soon became clear that the situation was serious.

Television cameras filmed Holloway sitting on the bench, whose head was held firmly in place by a guardian. Medical personnel arrived.

The Tampa players went to tell the judges that there was a worrying situation going on in the Blues’ bench.

Holloway was examined for a short time on the changing bench, after which he was put on a stretcher and taken to an ambulance.

The players of both teams gathered a short distance away on the ice to watch the situation. It was very quiet in the hall.

There was one minute and 11 seconds left in the opening round, but the judges decided to end the round midway.

Holloway was rushed to the hospital. The St. Louis Blues announced that the forward was conscious and in a stable condition.

The Blues did not announce the injury or its severity.

Match continued after the set break, and the remaining minutes from the first set were played at the beginning of the second set.

Holloway moved to the St. Louis Blues from the Edmonton Oilers this season.
