SOHR: Syrian air defenses intercepted an “unidentified” UAV near Shayrat airbase

On the evening of November 5, near Shayrat airbase, in Homs province, Syrian air defenses intercepted an “unidentified” UAV, reports the monitoring group The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

Judging by SOHR data, at the time of interception the UAV was located northwest of the Shayrat military airfield – that is, between the airbase and the city of Homs.

The IDF does not comment on this information.

Today, November 5, the Israel Defense Forces confirmed a report that IDF fighter jets struck ammunition depots used by the combat units of the Shiite terrorist organization Hezbollah in the Al-Qusayr area in Syria. According to the IDF press service, Hezbollah’s weapons division, which oversees the storage of ammunition in Lebanon, recently expanded its activities in Syria, near the city of Al-Qusayr in Homs province, near the border with Lebanon.
