F1: Hot rumor about the Sauber team

Volkswagen’s financial woes lead to the F1 deal, reports Autosport.

Car brand Audi plans to sell a share of its F1 team to Qatar, says Autosport magazine.

According to Autosport, an announcement on the matter is expected before the Qatar GP race, which is scheduled to be held on December 1.

The current Sauber garage is scheduled to become Audi’s factory garage in 2026. It has previously been announced that Audi will acquire full ownership of the Sauber garage.

However, according to Autosport, the situation has now changed. According to insiders interviewed by the magazine, it is difficult for Volkswagen AG, the German manufacturer that owns Audi, to justify a full-scale and expensive F1 project in the current situation.

In Germany, there has been talk of factories closing and 30,000 people losing their jobs, Autosport says.

According to the magazine, Audi has been silent about its possible connections with Qatar.

“As a matter of principle, we do not comment on speculation,” Audi said.

Conqueror driver Valtteri Bottas35, will compete in Sauber F1 this season. However, he will not continue with the team after the current season.

F1 series the next GP race will be held in Las Vegas, USA on November 24.

Red Bull’s 27-year-old Dutch star is at the top of this season’s World Cup points table Max Verstappen. No World Championship points have been recorded for Bottas from the current season.
