Pubic lice are small parasites that suck human blood. They often appear in private areas, areas around the genitals, and can be found in other parts of the body such as armpits, eyelids, etc. Lice are contagious. Infection is mainly through sexual contact. Sharing personal items such as towels, bed sheets and clothes also indirectly spreads lice.

Common signs of the disease are itching and discomfort, especially at night, affecting sleep and daily life.

You should maintain clean personal hygiene, regularly wash and disinfect bed sheets, blankets, and pillows. Inform your spouse or partner about your condition so they can get examined and treated. During treatment, patients should not share clothes, bed sheets and blankets with others. Do not have sex for at least 7 days after starting treatment.
