Recently, Ivanka Trump, President Donald Trump’s second daughter, shared details about her health and exercise regimen on Instagram. The 43-year-old businessman focuses on weight training to tighten fat and maintain a toned body.

“Like many women, I used to love cardio, yoga and pilates. Since moving to Miami, I’ve turned to weightlifting, which has helped me build muscle and transform my body in ways I never imagined.” , she said.

Ivanka now spends 3-4 days per week doing resistance training alone or with a trainer. She focuses on basic, time-tested movements like squats, deadlifts, crunches, push-ups, and pulls.

When working out with a personal trainer, Ivanka prioritizes her body shape first, then her body weight. According to her, this ensures stability and maintains the integrity of each movement. She incorporates exercises in her workouts to increase range of motion. Ivanka said weight training increases strength and endurance.

When not at the gym, Ivanka practices yoga weekly, combined with outdoor activities, including surfing, swimming, hiking and golf. To boost her cardiovascular health, she incorporates several high-intensity interval training (HIIT) sessions each week.

“This balanced schedule injects new energy into my fitness routine and delivers great results,” she shares.

Regis Pagett, fitness expert and owner of R Personal Fitness gym in New York, identifies resistance training as “the secret formula that everyone is looking for to have a healthy body”.

Resistance training, also known as endurance exercise, often uses equipment such as elastic bands, weights, or body weight to increase muscle strength. In particular, resistance exercises help improve body posture and balance, reduce the risk of injury, lose weight, and enhance cardiovascular health, which are important health benefits for middle-aged women.

Besides exercising, Ivanka also focuses on a protein-rich diet, with healthy dishes like salmon and tuna.
