Lecce presented their new coach today. Marco Giampaolo has started his new adventure and has taken over from Luca Gotti. The break will allow the new coach to work on shaping his team which will face Venezia when the championship resumes in an already important match from a safety perspective.
The Salento team has so far always played with the 4-2-3-1, a formation congenial to the tactical ideas of the coach originally from Bellinzona who reiterated in the presentation press conference: “I believe that the team was built to play in one way. It is was built to play with two wingers and a striker. They are particular, I don’t think the formation is important. The principles and qualities of the players are important.”
So, How will Marco Giampaolo’s Lecce play?
In the initial phase Giampaolo should not make any particular changes to Gotti’s Lecce starting line-upconfirming Falcone between the posts and the four-man defense made up of Guilbert, Baschirotto, Gaspar and Gallo. There is also no doubt about who will make up the offensive trident of 4-3-3, with
Dorgu who will still act as an offensive winger with inverted footwith Rebic as the first alternative to Krstovic and Banda on the left.
The doubts concern the crucial area of the pitch: the only certainty of a starting shirt is Ramadani, in the centre. Double ballot for the midfielders: Pierret and Lassana Coulibaly will compete for the place on the right, while on the right Oudin could start ahead of Rafia, with some possible chances for Marchwinski.
