Should you jog at night?

According to recommendations, each person should exercise with moderate intensity, at least 150 minutes per week. You can walk or jog, do gym, yoga… to improve your health, depending on your preferences and health condition. The ideal time to exercise is 4-7 p.m., which helps lose weight and strengthen muscles. After 9 p.m., you should take time to rest. If you are in good health or have many years of experience exercising, you should still listen to your body to choose the appropriate time frame. When you feel tired, exhausted, or short of breath, you should stop and rest, and should not exercise strenuously.

However, you should not exercise late at night for a long time, even for healthy people with no underlying medical conditions. In many cases, exercising too hard at night leads to muscle atrophy, muscle loss, affecting future mobility, and even bone and joint disease that is difficult to recover from. In addition, overtraining can easily cause injury, difficulty sleeping, restless sleep, and cardiovascular effects…

At the time of changing seasons, when the weather is cold and the air is cold, you should not exercise outdoors, even in the morning and evening.

Therefore, each person should balance their work and listen to their body, spending reasonable time for themselves to rest and regenerate energy.

You should eat lightly before exercising and do not exercise too hard. Prioritize practicing indoors to avoid cold and pollution. Exercising early in the morning also increases the risk of stroke, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease…
