Greece is ready to pay Israel 2 billion euros for the development of its own “Iron Dome”

The Greek government is in talks with Israel to develop its own missile defense system as part of the modernization of the Greek armed forces, Reuters reports, citing Greek officials.

The cost of the project is estimated at 2 billion euros. According to one of the sources, the goal of the negotiations is to create a multi-level system to counter missile attacks and the threat of UAVs.

Let’s remember that earlier this month, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that Turkey is also developing its own missile defense system, which he called the “Steel Dome” by analogy with the Israeli “Iron Dome”.
