Niña Pastori achieves her sixth Latin Grammy and dedicates it to those affected by DANA in Valencia: “She goes for them”

Niña Pastori won her sixth Latin Grammy this morning, this time in the category of Best Folk Album with ‘Raíz Never Me Fui’, an award that she dedicated in her speech to all those affected by DANA in Valencia. “A kiss to all my people from Valencia. This Latin Grammy is for them,” offered the island artist.

“I’m happy, but at the same time I can’t help but remember all the people from my land, especially from Valencia, who have now suffered something very hard with DANA,” acknowledged the artist, who remembered ” all the most disadvantaged who have been in this, the most harmed”.

Niña Pastori also had words of gratitude for the Spanish youth who have mobilized to help in the disaster areas. “A big kiss for all those people, for all the young people who have been paying attention and fighting. We are a country of solidarity,” he stated.

The album for which he has obtained this recognition has been recorded with Lila Downs and Soledad, whom he thanked for sharing this award and ensuring that what we do is “really beautiful”, by carrying “the roots of our land.”

The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, has congratulated the artist on this sixth Latin Grammy through a message on the social network X, collected by Europa Press. In it, she has pointed out that she is “one of the great artists of our land” and has highlighted her dedication to those affected by DANA. “Very proud,” Moreno concluded.
