Milei meets Trump, Musk and Stallone at CPAC

The president of Argentina, Javier Milei, arrived this Thursday (14) in the United States and met with the president-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, with the owner of X, Elon Musk, and with movie star Sylvester Stallone at the Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida amid the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

This was the first meeting between Trump and a foreign head of state since the American elections, marking an important step in the alliance between the two conservative leaders. It took place at Trump’s private residence, at a gala organized by the America First Police Institute.

During dinner, Milei gave a speech in which homenageou Trump e Elon Muskstating that X is helping to “save humanity”. In addition to criticizing left-wing ideologies, the president of Argentina spoke about his first year in power and the work to solve problems such as the fiscal deficit.

In addition to strengthening ideological ties, the meeting had an economic focus: Milei expressed her desire to establish a free trade agreement with the United Statesexpanding trade relations between the two countries.

Milei’s expectation is that the relationship with Trump could generate developments such as greater US support in financial negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and a reinforcement of commercial partnerships. For analysts, the alignment between the two leaders is an attempt to consolidate a conservative front on the global stage.

The event was also attended by Elon Musk, who posed alongside the two leaders in a photo widely shared on social media.
