The Lithuanian soprano Asmik Grigorian will offer, together with the main Orchestra of the Teatro del Real and under the baton of Henrik Nánási, a concert on November 24 in the Voces del Real cycle. The singer returns to the Madrid coliseum four years after her performance in the opera ‘Rusalka’.
The singer of Armenian origin will perform a program of Slavic composers – such as the Russians Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov and Glinka; the Armenian Tigranian, the Lithuanian Dvarionas or the Czech Dvorák – and will reserve for the second part of the recital pieces by Manon Lescaut and Madama Butterfly, by Giacomo Puccini, and Elisabetta di Valois, from the Verdian Don Carlo.
On September 1, Asmik Grigorian received the Special Jury Prize of the Österreichischer Musiktheaterpreis awards, which recognize exceptional contributions to the Austrian opera and theater scene, at a ceremony that took place at the Vienna Folk Opera.
