Nacho Vegas makes song Los Años Nuevos, the new series by Rodrigo Sorogoyen

The first five episodes of The new years the new series that Rodrigo Sorogoyen has created together with Sara Cano and Paula Fabra will arrive on November 28 on MovistarPlus+. The fiction, starring Iria del Río and Francesco Carril, has had the collaboration of Nacho Vegas for several of their official songs. The artist’s homonymous song, which puts a finishing touch to the final episode, It came to light last Thursday, November 14.

“One of the virtues of The New Years is that it invites the viewer to delve into the story and adopt an active role from which they can reconstruct what is not explicitly told: what has happened in the lives of the characters of Ana and Óscar throughout each entire year between chapter and chapter. For me this was fundamental when writing the song.“, confesses the singer.

The author of Eight and a half, The man who almost met Michi Panero or grief or nothingness He affirms that Sorogoyen is a filmmaker whom he admires “a lot” and that he “knows well” his music. The artist hopes that have “managed to express” with the theme “even a thousandth part” of what the series team “has managed to express with the language of cinema.”

Sorogoyen, also an executive producer of the series, directs four of the ten episodes that make up the story. The other six chapters are carried out by Sandra Romero (where silence passes) and David Martin de los Santos (Life was that). In addition, Marina Rodríguez Colás and Antonio Rojano participate along with Sorogoyen, Cano and Fabra in the script of Los Años Nuevos, whose filming has taken place in various locations in the Community of Madrid, Castilla-La Mancha, Lyon and Berlin.

The new years whose second batch of episodes will premiere on the streaming service on December 12, is an original series from Movistar Plus+ in collaboration with Caballo Films and in association with ARTE France.
