Donna Leon in an interview: Brunetti will not die

Bestselling author Donna Leon on her addiction to lies, the reason why she no longer lives in Venice and the question of when her inspector Brunetti will actually retire.

Meeting at Diogenes Verlag in Zurich. When asked how she is, Leon replies that she is jazzed upso pumped up. This is less due to the honorary award from the Bavarian Prime Minister that she accepted in Munich two weeks ago. Leon’s reason is as simple as it is Italian: She tried a new brand of coffee in the morning. Very strong, from Naples. Good thing she just ordered another one.
