Finnish companies stand out on lists of Finnish favorite stocks. However, some investors may be bored by the weak development of the Helsinki Stock Exchange, when at the same time stock indices in the United States have risen sharply.

Kauppalehti found out the favorite stocks of different ages. It was revealed that older people still trust domestic stocks, but foreign stocks have started to interest the younger generation of investors.

The airline was a popular trading stock at the beginning of the corona era, when airline prices plummeted as flying decreased, says Nordnet’s country manager Suvi Tuppurainen. At the same time, young and beginner investors chose Finnair as one of their favorite shopping destinations.

“Young people can afford to take more risk, as the stock has been perceived to be,” Tuppurainen says of Finnair.

Once known as a folk stock Nokia on the other hand, there are still favorites of over 46-year-olds. The younger ones are no longer enthusiastic about the company.
