YERA, a protein product from probiotics that came from the idea of ​​a mother who wanted her children to have good products to use, won the top spot in the 2024 National Creative Startup Talent Competition.The project has been implemented since 2019, with a total investment capital of up to 100 billion VND and is generating a revenue of 15 billion VND per month, Ms. Le Thanh Hoai Phuong, Founder and Director of Yeast Era shared after the final round. With Beta-glucan to support immunity and soluble fiber that is good for digestion, YERA is considered a superior choice compared to traditional proteins, positively contributing to health, the environment and the future.

Therefore, the Techfest 2024 jury awarded YERA the highest position in the competition, surpassing four other competitors.

Ms. Le Thanh Hoai Phuong said, “I am a mother who wants her child to live and use safe and healthy products, so she came up with the idea of ​​implementing the project.”

According to YERA’s founder, the startup process faced many difficulties because this was a new product, requiring high technology and huge investment capital. “Fortunately for us, we were able to call on two strong investors to implement the project,” Ms. Phuong said.

In addition to stable sales in the domestic market, YERA is penetrating new, potential markets such as Indonesia, India, the Middle East, Europe, and North America.

The competition organizers awarded the second prize to the project of Enfarm, an agricultural technology company with a mission to improve farmers’ livelihoods and promote sustainable agricultural growth through the development of precision soil sensing technology. at affordable prices. Enfarm technology provides vital information on soil and crop health, while also providing farming recommendations to farmers, predicting prices, diagnosing pests and diseases, and connecting farmers to the consumer base. use.

The third prize went to Tubdd’s project, a platform that connects tourists with local “buddies”, providing authentic and unique travel experiences. Along with the strong development of independent travel and digital technology, Tubudd, with 14 employees and 1,000 “buddies” worldwide, has affirmed its position as a pioneering travel platform, bringing creative experiences. , personalized for travelers.

The 2024 National Creative Startup Talent Search Competition is organized within the framework of the 2024 National Innovation and Startup Festival (Techfest Vietnam 2024). The competition aims to promote creative solutions from start-up businesses, attract resources of experts, intellectuals, domestic entrepreneurs, and overseas Vietnamese, thereby igniting creative thinking and contributing to the competition. contributing to promoting the creative startup ecosystem as well as contributing to the growth of Vietnam’s economy.

Launched from September 23 to October 31, the contest attracted 500 applications from provinces and cities across the country, nominated by more than 18 creative startup communities in the provinces. The organizing committee selected 5 teams to enter the finals including Yeast Er, Tititada, Enfar, Tubudd and Thinkprompt.

Techfest Vietnam was first held in 2015, becoming an annual activity coordinated by the Ministry of Science and Technology with organizing units. This year the program is coordinated with the People’s Committee of Hai Phong City, implemented by the Department of Science and Technology Enterprise and Market Development (Natec), Department of Science and Technology of Hai Phong City.
