“In recent years we have experienced great upheavals: from the pandemic to the outbreak of war in the heart of Europe, to the exacerbation of latent conflicts in various regions of the world. A crisis that has impacted major geopolitical balances, but also on the lives of every single company.

In this complex scenario, the Bracco Group has proven to be solid and resilient, ready to face new challenges, first of all the non-derogable one of sustainable development. And to do this we have focused, as always, on innovation, which is the beating heart of our business. In our 11 Centres

In fact, research around the world is working not only to innovate all diagnostic modalities, from magnetic resonance imaging to radiology, from nuclear medicine to interventional cardiology, from intraoperative diagnostics to ultrasound contrast agents, but also to improve the impact of products on the environment and processes and to reduce CO2 emissions.

Using cutting-edge and safe production cycles, working in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice-FDA rules is a daily practice in all our factories, from Italy to Germany, from the United States to Switzerland, from Canada to China.

In short, our commitment is proven and long-standing. And it is fully recognised: in 2023 we received the gold medal from EcoVadis – one of the most important international ESG rating agencies – for our achievements in four key areas: environment, ethics, sustainable procurement, working conditions and human rights. Furthermore, Bracco Imaging is positioned at the top among the approximately 100,000 global companies certified by EcoVadis: truly a great satisfaction.

2023 was also important for another reason. The Group’s internationalization process saw a new milestone: the birth of Bracco Japan, which replaced the joint venture with Eisai, founded way back in 1990. For an Italian family company to operate directly in Japan, such an important country and prestigious from every point of view, it is a source of pride.

Our all-round commitment to patients, doctors, our people and the entire planet is therefore stronger than ever. An authoritative, tangible recognition was given to us by the Italian Society of Medical and Interventional Radiology which, on the occasion of its 51st National Congress, decided to award me the SIRM Gold Medal. An honor that fell to my father Cav in 1992. Work Fulvio Bracco, and which represents the seal of continuity of Bracco’s and our family’s commitment to radiology and innovation”.
