Taisto Lundberg is dead

Musician Taisto Lundberg is dead, says Evening newspaper. Lundberg was born on April 22, 1949 in Vehmaa and was 75 years old when he died.

Lundberg became famous especially for the band Hortto Kaalo, which he founded in 1969 Marko Putkonen and his half-brother Feija Åkerblomin with. Also Lundberg’s sister Anneli Sari performed in Hortto Kaalo. A song about discrimination against Roma Why won’t the doors open for us? was published already in 1970 and became an instant hit.

Also Taisto Lundberg’s daughter Miritza Lundberg (b. 1980) and a son Amadeus Lundberg (b. 1989) have been successful as musicians.
