Stiga autonomous robot lawnmower at the “Italy of Patents” exhibition

The Ministry of Business and Made in Italy (MIMIT) has selected STIGA’s autonomous robot lawnmower as a symbol of Italian innovation in the field of greenery maintenance. This choice not only celebrates the success of the patent, but also the company’s contribution to sustainable development and advanced technology.

The robot, known commercially as “Stiga A” e patented as “Robotic vehicle for land cultivation”, it represents a cutting-edge in robotics applied to the care of green spaces. Designed to operate autonomously without the need for buried wire, it uses GNSS signals to map the work area and perform completely autonomous grass cutting. This system not only optimizes energy use but also guarantees more precise and less invasive green maintenance.

During the inauguration event of the exhibition, which took place at Palazzo Piacentini in Rome, Sean Robinson, CEO of the STIGA Group, expressly thanked the Ministry for this important recognition. He underlined how innovation and sustainability are fundamental pillars for the company projected towards the creation of solutions that improve efficiency and reduce human intervention in garden care.

Visitors to the exhibition, which will remain open until March 2, 2025, will have the unique opportunity to explore the innovative features of STIGA’s robotic lawnmower up close in the Agri & Sea Tech section. Open to the public on weekends, the exhibition offers a detailed overview of the impact of Italian inventions in the industrial and environmental context.
