From May, Telenet will outsource 200 employees from its call center and 79 employees from its IT department. The telecom company reported this in a press release.
Telenet has signed an agreement with Teleperformance for its customer service department and with Infosys and Accenture for its IT department.
Standard questions
Telenet wants to build an in-house knowledge center aimed at more complex customer questions, it said. Standard customer questions will be fully entrusted to partners. In addition to its existing partner WEngage, Telenet will conclude a contract with Teleperformance and accommodate 200 call center employees there.
Telenet also wants to simplify the way it works with IT partners and reduce the number of suppliers for software delivery activities. “For this reason, Telenet group will only collaborate with Infosys and Accenture as core partners for software development,” it said. As part of this new setup, 79 employees will be transferred from Telenet group to Infosys and Accenture.
Discussions with social partners will begin in the coming days. The transfer of employees is scheduled for May 1, 2025 and will take place in accordance with the principles of Collective Labor Agreement 32bis. This guarantees the rights of employees when changing employers.
