DATS 24, the fuel department of Colruyt, will open fifty new charging plazas for charging electric cars. The company announced this on Wednesday.
The new squares will be located in the car parks of Colruyt stores and will include both fast charging stations and regular charging stations. The first charging point opens on Wednesday in Aalst, and more squares will follow in Bruges, Sint-Niklaas and Hasselt, among others. The charging stations are accessible 24/7, according to DATS 24. These are public car parks, so non-Colruyt customers can also use them.
DATS 24 has the ambition to become one of the largest operators of charging stations in the country. The aim is to install at least 10,000 public charging points over the next five years.
DATS 24 is the fuel and energy specialist of Virya Energy, the energy holding company of Colruyt Group and Korys, the investment company of the Colruyt family. The company has a network of 145 filling stations in our country, operates charging points and also supplies natural gas and electricity.
