Moritz Seider made it possible for the Detroit Red Wings to win the away game in the NHL with his third goal of the season. The German national ice hockey player scored against the Buffalo Sabers in the final third to make it 5:5 and thus ensure extra time. After a scoreless extra game, the first two of the hosts’ three shooters missed in the shootout – including Seider’s national team colleague JJ Peterka in the Sabres’ service. Dylan Larkin made it 6:5 after a penalty shootout with his goal.
In the meantime, Seider had also prepared the Red Wings’ 2-1 win in the varied game with a total of four lead changes. Both teams are in the basement of the table with 26 points, but are still close to the playoff places in the National Hockey League.
