Hakob Aslanyan was removed from the ruling “Civil Agreement” faction, the faction’s secretary Artur Hovhannisyan said.

Artur Hovhannisyan said that the decision to remove Hakob Aslanyan from the party will be decided at the meeting of the board.

According to the secretary of the faction, Hakob Aslanyan does not want to give up the mandate.

Aslanyan himself refused to comment on the faction’s decision.

According to Hayk Konjoryan, head of the Central Committee faction, he was removed “because of a serious disciplinary violation, as well as behavior that is highly incompatible with the values ​​and political direction adopted by the “Civil Agreement” party.”

Earlier, Hakob Aslanyan announced that he prefers justice and for the sake of his friend, MP Hovik Aghazaryan, he is suspending his membership in Pashinyan’s party for one month.

Hours after this announcement, a screenshot of correspondence with Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, a member of the “Civil Contract” department and Minister of High-Tech Industry, appeared on Hakob Aslanyan’s Facebook page. The CP minister sends a text to Aslanyan asking him to publish the text formulated by the minister on his behalf, that he regrets today’s statements. Mkhitar Hayrapetyan confirmed in a conversation with “Azatutyan” that his letter is real, saying that Aslanyan was his teacher and today he consulted with him and asked him to help write the text of the statement.

• Hovik Aghazaryan was removed from the “Civil Contract” on the grounds of disclosing information to a journalist from a closed party discussion, violating party and moral norms. This decision was made after Aghazaryan’s statement that he publicly rejected Pashinyan’s request and did not give up his mandate.
