“An agreement has been reached”: DHL employees are no longer on strike

The Christmas presents will finally be delivered. The company DHL announced in a press release that “the social movements stopped on Friday evening on all of the company’s sites”.

Since December 9, the transport company in Europe has been facing a strike by employees of the French branch. The unions denounced “the absence of obligatory annual negotiations” and the cancellation of the incentive bonus planned for the year 2024. A loss of “3,000 euros”, according to a union delegate. The unions then claimed that the movement was followed by 80% of employees.

“Restore impeccable service”

“An agreement was reached between Management and the Trade Union Organizations, following proposals from Management and subject to the resumption of work by all employees from Friday 11:30 p.m. at the latest and the signing of the Protocol to end the conflict” , details DHL in its press release.

As the Christmas holidays approached, the employees’ work stoppage greatly worried management. The unions had indicated that more than 12,000 packages were piling up in warehouses every day without being delivered or shipped by plane.

The company assures that it “has put in place appropriate measures to restore impeccable service and ensure all deliveries to all customers as quickly as possible”.
