Construction company YIT agreed on a 105 million euro contract

Construction company YIT has agreed Hitachi Energyn with about the construction of a new production and technology center in Vikby’s industrial area in Mustasaari, the company informs.

According to YIT, the value of the contract is approximately EUR 105 million, which will be recorded in the order book for the last quarter of the year.

The project includes the transformer factory, development, testing and office facilities, as well as the construction of ancillary buildings with earthworks and building engineering works. The whole is about 44,000 square meters in total.

Earthworks are already underway. According to YIT, the actual construction work will start in February 2025, and the project will be completed at the beginning of 2027.
