According to Al-Sharq al-Awsat, MrBeast, who arrived in Egypt to film tourism materials for his viewers, said in an interview that he rented three legendary pyramids in Giza for $100 from the Egyptian government.

The video of this interview was widely circulated on social networks and caused a storm of criticism against the Egyptian government: the Ministry of Antiquities and Tourism was accused of squandering national property and corruption.
