“I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.” It is with this message that Kate Middleton and Prince William unveiled their greeting card Thursday on their X account. The video, broadcast early in the afternoon, has since been viewed hundreds of thousands of times by users of the social network.
The couple made a symbolic choice to illustrate their greeting card. They took a photo from last September, produced by advertising executive Will Warr, used at the time to announce the end of Kate Middleton’s chemotherapy.
“I can’t tell you what a relief it is to have finally finished my chemotherapy treatment,” she wrote, referring to an “extremely hard” nine months for her and her family. The princess had been battling cancer for several months.
A very difficult year
“My road to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes,” she continued, expressing her “can’t wait to return to work.” The choice of the photo, symbolic, tends to show the unity of the family after a very difficult year.
On Tuesday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, used to not exposing their two children, shared rare photos of their children Archie and Lilibet for their greeting card. Photos in which their faces are barely identifiable.
