Journalist Tatyana Felgengauer was arrested in absentia and put on the international wanted list

The Nikulinsky District Court of Moscow arrested in absentia the creative producer of the YouTube channel “Mediazona”, journalist Tatyana Felgengauer in the case of violating the law on “foreign agents” (Part 3 of Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The investigation’s petition states that the journalist was repeatedly brought under protocols for not being labeled as a “foreign agent” on social networks (Part 4 of Article 19.34 of the Administrative Code). It also notes that “the choice of a more lenient preventive measure is impossible, since Felgenhauer is hiding from the investigation, and therefore there is reason to believe that she currently continues to engage in criminal activities.”

The Russian Ministry of Justice declared the journalist a “foreign agent” on September 21, 2022. Tatyana Felgenhauer left Russia that same year. She is currently on the international wanted list.
