According to local media, there was a traffic jam on the A10 near Salzburg for up to two hours, due to an accident and road works. At around 5:30 p.m., the queue was still more than an hour, says the Dutch traffic organization ANWB. In France, an overturned truck with pigs on the A31, from Nancy to Dijon, caused a lot of disruption. The road was closed for hours, blocking thousands of motorists. A diversion had been planned, but road manager APRR allegedly refused to open the péage barrier.
