Paris (France): Thief steals jewelry from department store! 300,000 euro loot

Paris (France) – This crook apparently still needed Christmas presents: A thief struck one of Europe’s most famous luxury department stores on the night of Christmas Eve.

Burglar climbed through the shop window

As the Paris daily newspaper “Le Figaro” reports, a person entered the store through a shop window at 2:43 a.m. She then went to the stand Jewelers Mauboussin, where they are numerous pieces of jewelry stolen. Video surveillance captured the person fleeing the store about 20 minutes later. Thus the entire theft recorded.

The theft was only discovered the next day

According to the information, when a security guard started duty on the morning of December 24th, he noticed that a window in the department store had been broken. The Paris public prosecutor’s office has started the investigation.

The Mauboussin jewelry company, founded in Paris in 1827, has branches in New York (USA)Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). The company became known for its extraordinary collections made from precious materials.
