6 injured in a fire in an apartment in Bnei Brak, including a two-year-old baby who is in serious condition
A fire broke out this morning (Tuesday) in an apartment in a residential building on Trumpeldor Street in Bnei Brak. A two-year-old baby was seriously injured with burns on his body, but was found conscious. 5 other people were slightly injured by smoke inhalation. MDA teams evacuated the injured to Sheba Tel Hashomer Hospital and Beilinson Hospital.Fire and rescue teams that arrived at the scene noticed a fire on the first floor of the residential building and black smoke rising from the building. It is feared that there are some trapped in the building. The teams carry out scans in the field to search for trapped people and rescue them if necessary.

MDA paramedic Issachar Weiss and MDA emergency medicine medics Yonatan Cohen and Zvika Lerer said: “We arrived at the scene with large forces, we saw a lot of smoke coming from an apartment on the first floor. Victims came out of the building with smoke inhalation, among them a two-year-old toddler who was fully conscious, with extensive burns in his body, and a number of other victims are in a minor condition as they walk. We gave all the victims comprehensive medical treatment Oxygen assistance and we evacuated them in ambulances and MDA intensive care vehicles to the hospital. MDA teams are prepared to provide medical treatment if there are more casualties.”
