At least ten people were killed in New Orleans when a man drove into a crowd. He is then said to have died in a shootout with the police. Fox News reports that the vehicle used had a Texas license plate and crossed the border from Mexico several days ago. It is still unclear whether the suspect was also behind the wheel at the time, the news channel emphasizes.
Trump says he sympathizes with the innocent victims and their families and with the officers who were injured.
