State Network of Book Fairs closes 2024 with a turnover of 19.5 million euros and 3.8 million visitors

The State Network of Book Fairs has closed 2024 with a turnover of 19.47 million euros in book sales, distributed among the 2,128 exhibitors who participated and 3,385,000 visitors in the 38 fairs attached to the initiative, according to data from the entity.

Precisely, in mid-2024 the State Network of Book Fairs was born, an alliance that began with twenty fairs and which, at the end of the year, had 38 members.

Among the members are the book fairs in A Coruña, Albacete, Almería, Burgos, Cádiz, Castro-Urdiales (Literal), Ferrol, Foz, Gijón, Granada, Huelva, Jaén, La Laguna, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, León , Lugo, Madrid, Málaga, Monforte de Lemos, Murcia, O Porriño, Ourense, Oviedo (Libroviedo), Palencia, Ponteareas, Redondela, Rianxo, Santander (Felisa), Santiago de Compostela, Seville, Soria (Expoesía), Teruel, Torrelavega (Libreando), Valencia, Valladolid, Vigo, Viveiro and Zaragoza

In its 2024 editions, some 3,522 activities related to the book were carried out, with the participation of nearly 130,000 attendees. One of the main achievements of these fairs is to encourage meetings between authors and readers, creating close and accessible spaces where 7,265 writers were able to sign copies of their works.
