Consumption: if you buy a television, don’t ignore its durability index

Consumers, brace yourself. It’s the waltz of clues. You are certainly familiar with the energy label, affixed to vacuum cleaners, washing machines and other televisions, which has existed for around thirty years. Since 2021 and the law to combat waste and for a circular economy (Agec), a new logo – the repairability index – has discreetly appeared on the same product categories. Its objective: to fight against the planned obsolescence of numerous devices and to allow consumers to have all the keys in hand to make their purchases.
