Football, farewell to the ‘Black Spider’ Fabio Cudicini

Fabio Cudicini, known as the ‘Black Spider’, a historic former great goalkeeper for Roma and Milan, has died at the age of 89. “The Spider’s web on our Rossoneri heart. Forever. Fabio Cudicini, champion of everything with Milan, a great goalkeeper and a great person, has passed away. The condolences of all the Rossoneri to his son Carlo, who grew up in the Club, and to the whole family. Hi Fabio” Milan wrote on social media announcing his passing.

Born in Trieste on 20 October 1935, before joining Milan he played for Udinese (three seasons), Roma (eight seasons) and Brescia (one).

In five seasons with the Rossoneri shirt, Fabio Cudicini collected 183 appearances and won a scudetto (1967-68), a European Cup (1968-69), an Intercontinental Cup (1969), a Cup Winners’ Cup and an Italian Cup . With Roma, however, an Italian Cup and a Fairs Cup had arrived.
