Ubisoft postpones the new Assassin’s Creed game – the crisis in the game industry is reflected in the popular game series

Gaming giant Ubisoft has yet another bad news for the super popular Assassin’s Creed -for fans of video games. The next part of the series Assassin’s Creed Shadowsin the publication has already been moved forward for the second time, say the British broadcasting company, among others BBC and financial media Forbes.

The new Release Date announced by Ubisoft on Thursday is March 20.

The action game set in 18th century Japan was supposed to be released last November. However, in September, Ubisoft announced that it would postpone the release until February 14th.

At that time, the reason for the decision was given by the company Star Wars Outlaws -the game’s poor sales figures. The BBC says that when it was released, it was also criticized for numerous bugs and technical problems.

Ubisoft says it wants to learn from the mistakes made with that game. According to Thursday’s announcement Assassin’s Creed Shadows is practically ready, but still requires some filing.

Assassin’s Creedit are the flagship products of the French company Ubisoft. For example, the one published in November 2020 Assassin’s Creed Valhalla generated more than 900 million euros for the company, according to the BBC.
