The Center for Political Beauty continues to fight for a ban on the AfD

“Adenauer SRP +” is what the Center for Political Beauty (ZPS) group has christened this bus vehicle, which is now parked under the Quadriga and unleashes a multimedia bombardment using projectors, LED screens and boxes – primarily consisting of anti-constitutional statements from more or less prominent AfD -Staff. “We will be traveling with this vehicle at least until the federal election,” says ZPS member Arne (who, for understandable reasons, refrains from mentioning his last name). Arne introduces himself as a “travel agent” for the newly launched “Adenauer Reisen” and explains that the main mission of the mobile of the same name is expressly not to “annoy the AfD”. Rather, the ZPS wants to reach those MPs from the democratic parties who still speak out against a ban on the AfD – because they either believed that the party should be fought on its content or that there was not enough evidence. “We deliver over 2,400 pieces of evidence of the AfD’s unconstitutionality free of charge,” said the performance artist. “Nobody will be able to look away from this anymore.”

Warning words from Konrad Adenauer

On board, the bus has, among other things, an installation made up of filing cabinets, original documents from the Office for the Protection of the Constitution (in whatever way they were made accessible to the ZPS), or an Alice Weidel doll that uses an AI voice to recite the original quotes from Elon Musk -girlfriend spits out. All part of the evidence mentioned, which the ZPS has been collecting and documenting on the website “afd-ban.de” for over a year. Arne recalls a sentence from party leader Tino Chrupalla: “The Basic Law is not set in stone either,” expressed in a letter to members of the AfD Görlitz district association.

Speaking of the Basic Law: On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the German Constitution, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation had its namesake appear (also with an AI voice) in a video that can also be heard as a soundbite on Pariser Platz. Adenauer says: “We are all responsible for preserving and standing up for the values ​​of the Basic Law, our democracy, freedom, human dignity and the rule of law.” This points to why the ZPS named its vehicle “Adenauer SRP+”. . And what this resonates with is also a warning to the Christian Democrats not to follow the example of their colleagues in Austria and become the stirrups of fascism. There is no question: this action by the ZPS comes at the right time.

“Mandatory consultations” are planned

But above all it depends on the “SRP”. Behind this is the “Socialist Reich Party”, a National Socialist organization in the early Federal Republic that was banned by the Constitutional Court in 1952 – under a CDU-Adenauer government. ZPS pioneer Philipp Ruch explains this in his book “It’s 5 before 1933” as a model for a possible AfD ban. The ZPS has at least gained one declared ally among the politicians, namely the Berlin SPD MP Orkan Özdemir. He speaks from the bus and complains, among other things, about the “incredible lack of courage” of those democratic decision-makers who avoided the ban process while the AfD successfully “normalized right-wing extremism”.

The ZPS wants to schedule “mandatory consultations” with other MPs. That means: “We communicate via the press and by invitation that we will go to Friedrich Merz’s house on day Y, for example, to hand him the evidence. Then he can think again about whether he should agree to a ban on the AfD,” explains Arne. And the “Adenauer SRP+” will not only stop at Scholz, Merz & Co. The AfD also travels by bus, according to the travel agent. Their MP Stefan Brandner, for example, travels from market place to market place on an “infomobile tour”: “How will he like it if we accompany him with the ‘Adenauer SRP+’?” Before that there is a trip to the AfD party conference in Riesa.

In Grünheide, where AfD fan Elon Musk runs his Tesla factory, there is also an urgent need for clarification in the eyes of the ZPS. “And it looks like we’ll probably have to talk to Mark Zuckerberg too,” says Arne. He sums up the intention of the campaign like this: “We provoke so that topics get maximum visibility. And we will push that in the coming weeks.”
